From Pastor Todd,

Dear Church:
For sometime now, it has been my honor and privilege to serve as pastor of Walnut Hill Baptist Church in Campobello, S.C.  Upon my arrival at Walnut Hill, the sweetness of the Holy Spirit among the fellowship overwhelmed me and my family.  The time has passed so quickly, these past 5 years and we have seen so many good things happen in recent days.   People have been saved and others added to the church.  Virtually ever program has experienced growth.  A new sound and video system enhances our worship; a parking lot expansion has been achieved for the many who are coming to bible study and worship.  Therefore, I firmly believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is using His Church and the Holy Spirit to build a strong and very evangelistic New Testament Church at Walnut Hill.
There are three things which I want to share with you concerning Walnut Hill.  The first is our HERITAGE.  Walnut Hill has a rich heritage.  On October 4, 1909, Walnut Hill Baptist Church organized as the result of a revival conducted under a brush arbor.
The second thing I want to share with you is our HOPE.  It is my prayer that God will lead us onward and upward as a body of believers.  It has been said, “Where there is hope there is power.”  Our hope is Jesus Christ.  He is the One for whom we have our being.  He gives the church purpose, vision, and strength.  There is hope at Walnut Hill because He is our hope.  It is our desire to share the hope of Christ with you and your family.
The third thing I want to share with you is our HORIZON.  On October 7, 2007, Walnut Hill embraced a vision to build an educational wing expanding its facilities.  The desire of the body is to reach this goal with a “Ground-Breaking” to be a part of a Homecoming Service.  As we look to the future, we do so with anticipation of ministering to others and obeying our Savior.  We trust, God offers for Walnut Hill a new horizon in the 21st Century.
This website ministry is a part of this new horizon.  God has given Walnut Hill an opportunity to reach the multitude moving into this community.  May we never just stare up the steps but rather move forward stepping up the stairs to a new horizon.  If we do this then our future will be a blessed one.
I encourage you and your family to come experience worship with us.  God’s blessing rest upon his people as we worship together.

In Christ,

Reverend Todd Johnson
